I'm so not good with computers...

I did manage to get a couple pregnant pictures up but they're under photos.  For some reason I couldn't get them on the main page. One day it will click (with some help from my better half) and I'll be able to put more stuff up.  I don't really take many pictures, but am sure that will change when the baby comes.

Only two and a half weeks until my due date. I will be glad to have the baby out.  For some reason this child likes my rib cage. It's a weird feeling having a foot pluck away at your rib cage. The baby has dropped already so maybe it will come sooner...here's hoping.

We're all moved into our new place. It's kind of dangerous in the fact that we live across from McDonalds and Tim Hortons (THE place to get coffee and donuts in Canada).  Mom and dad arrived back home last week from being in Panama for three months. It's really good to have them back, as they work insanely hard while they're over there. Their main project this time was to add an addition to the pastor's (I think) house as he has a big family living in a tiny house and visited with the believers in the church they started way back when. Mom was stung by a baby scorpion (apparently garlic helps) and dad "forgot" to get his back checked out before going, so spent three months with major pain that is apparently coming from his kidney. I think that us kids left here in Canada worry more about our parents health than they do!

It's finally sunny here. Spring has sprung! I wonder what the temperature was like when Jesus died and rose again. In North America we think of it as spring with flowers and warmth from the sun because that's when we celebrate Easter. I wonder if it was it a cold and desolate place or was it hot and dusty? Did they only crucify people during certain seasons? I usually find Easter quite an emotional time in my heart. There is such an extreme  swing of emotions from great sadness of Jesus cruel death to hope and joy for his resurection.

Wishing you a thoughtful, hopeful Easter.

Still counting down...

So, it felt like spring was coming.  The snow was mostly gone and the sun was out, I was wearing my spring jacket (well okay, it's the only one that fits me now.) and then today it has been snowing lightly all morning and it's STAYING! *sigh*

I was catching up on my blog readings today and realized that all the blogs I read are from people outside of North America.  My life seems quite boring compared to things that they are experiencing. I have the travelling itch but it has seem to come at an inopportune time.  I guess I'll have to live vicarously through other peoples blogs.

Something exciting did happen to us this past week.  Our car was vandalized AGAIN but this time with spray insulation on our windows and glue sticking our windshield wipers down and covering the key holes.  It could have been worse but I just want to yell GROW UP!!!  There are so many other productive things to do with your time.

Rob is still leading the College and Careers Bible study.  They are a really keen bunch.  He finished the study on Galations a couple weeks and asked what they would be interested in studying and the majority voted for a study that was put together by John Piper.  Heavy stuff.  I know that Rob will enjoy it though.  I hope that the newer Christians aren't discouraged. We'll really have to look out and make an extra effort with them.

This afternoon I have a Diabetes appointment. Not really looking forward to that as my blood sugar numbers have been kind of wonky lately.  I thought that pregnancy was not easy but never in a million years did I think that it would be this hard.  The fainting didn't end like once thought. The docs are testing my heart to see if there's anything weird going on there. I constantly have to tell myself..."at least the baby's okay, at least the baby's okay..."

Here are some pictures of my big belly.  If you see them then it worked, if not then they'll be up soon.

And the countdown begins!

We bought a townhouse! It will be nice to move and set up a baby room etc. The packing and cleaning is daunting but we're chipping away at it a day at a time. I'm done work at the store now and only have 5 students at home. It's getting harder to teach but at least half the load is gone. Funny thing...have you ever seen a really pregnant women trying to pick up something off the floor? Not pretty. My students are constantly dropping pencils, erasers, books, etc. I have come to the point where I just sit and wait for them to get it themselves.
In the last couple of weeks I've developed gestational diabetes. It really turned my world upside down for a while there but I'm getting used to the strict diet and needles. Supposedly it should go away when the baby comes in April. That will be nice.
I've had to miss church for the last couple of weeks b/c of not feeling well. I had this fainting thing going on for a while that has seemed to slow down since I finished work. Anyways, I really miss going to church and am looking forward to this Sunday.
That's about all I have right now. Sorry there's no pic's. We seem to be the last people on the planet without a digital camera.
